As the information regarding the bombing slowly comes in and develops, I'd just like to share some thoughts. For those not yet aware at this time, at about past 8:00pm this evening a bomb exploded near the lobby of the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City (If I'm not wrong, it's along or near Commonwealth Avenue), killing one person and injuring about three congressmen.
House Speaker Jose de Venecia calls it an "act of terrorism", and I'm quite sure he is right, and that this blast has some connection to the very recent Glorietta blast. With that being said and assuming that these blasts were indeed connected and that these terrorists are out to prove a point, what happens now?
With political turmoil just plaguing the country year in and year out, it's bound to give in one way or another. These terrorists do have their points, and they are very good ones at that. But those do not make these acts of terrorism excusable. Take this as a wake up call for the government, and a wake up call for the Filipino people. We should not succumb to the fear that they try to brew yet we should also take a stand for what should be done in our country. Violence is not the answer.
true...but as you said, this is yet another wake up call. it is very disturbing that "the damned human race" (hahahahahaha!!! wooohhhoooo!!!) again gives truth to its evil and inhumane humanity... wow tinding irony!!! =))
